SALA
The South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival is an annual, month-long festival that celebrates the work of South Australian visual artists alive today regardless of age or level of experience.
This year we present ‘Sea Change’ a collection inspired by our beautiful South Australian coastline created by Louise Russell
Viewing times: 10am to 8pm Thursday to Sunday
Bio: Louise is an emerging South Australian artist. Discovering the joy of painting just three years ago whilst in the depths of major depression, Louises’ life has changed considerably in the last 18 months. Resigning from her nursing career in Palliative care, downsizing and moving to the coast has enabled Louise to begin her new career as a full-time artist.
Exhibition: Sea Change
“I never realised the coast was so colourful until I looked closer. Sailing boats, beach towels, paddleboards, surf life savers, sunshades, sunsets, rainbows, sculptures, beach wear but to name a few. Experiencing all of this just makes me want to reach for my brush and paint, so I did.” – Louise Russell
