Slipping & Crane Wharf
The Club is proud of its slipping facilities, which support vessel maintenance for members and the wider boating community. The Club has its own horizontal-lift slipway which can handle craft up to approximately 16 metres, 25 tonnes and 2.8 meters in draft.

Many local and trusted marine contractors choose to work out of the CYCSA, providing experience and quality services. Contact information is available [here soon]. Please note ALL contractors working on vessels at the CYCSA must provide current insurance information, be inducted and meet all other requirements prior to starting work.

Adjacent to the slipway is the crane wharf with a fixed arm 1.6-tonne radial crane. The Crane is for the use of members, staff and others that have been authorised and properly inducted by the General Manager or his/ her nominated delegate. Please refer to the below document, Crane Operations, for more details. 

Member Benefits
The ability to slip and hardstand vessels on site, for seasonal and minor repair work, makes vessel maintenance more efficient and cost effective. All Members receive a significant discount on slipping rates and other fees (please refer to slipping fees document). In the case of an emergency, the ability to quickly make a vessel safe in the event of water ingress also offers members peace of mind.

Slipping for Non-Members
The CYCSA, located at North Haven, offers competitive and convenient slipway services for basic repairs and maintenance work. Before the slipping of any vessel, insurance details are to be provided to Club reception or directly to the Slipmaster. It is a requirement to read the ‘Slipping Operations’ document to understand and sign the slipping waiver form. Payment for slipping of non-member vessels must be made prior to vessel launch. The Club reserves the right to reject the slipping of any vessel. Fees and charges may be subject to change.

Permits
All contractors will be expected to implement a safe system of work. These requirements apply to both contractors working directly for the Cruising Yacht Club of SA and contractors working on behalf of berth holders, whilst working on site at the Cruising Yacht Club of SA.

Launch Ramps
The dual lane launch ramp within the Club premises is for the exclusive use of Club members with boats stored in the hardstanding area. The Club also owns and operates the North Haven Public Boat Ramp. Fees paid ensure its maintenance for community use and provide increased financial support for the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia.

Tractors
The Club has tractors available for use by members only. All members are required to undergo an induction on the correct use of the tractors. Staff are available to give you direction prior to your use. Please contact Reception on 8248 4222 to arrange an induction.

Fuel
An encumbrance on the North Haven harbour provides that the land owned by the Club shall not be used for the purpose of supplying boat fuel for the use of vessels, as long as the supply is provided elsewhere in the harbour. Fuel is available at the northern end of the harbour seven days a week. For your information, please note the following rules apply within the Club premises: The boat owner may deliver fuel in his/her own vehicle and via his/her own container, however fuelling is restricted to the Crane Wharf and associated pontoon. The location of nearby spill response kits should be obtained prior to fuelling. The owner is solely responsible for any fire risk and spillage. A fire extinguisher is located at the entrance to the maintenance shed, south of the crane wharf. There is a NO SMOKING policy on the crane wharf and pontoon during fuelling operations.

Portable Motor Testing
An outboard motor testing tank is provided on the eastern side of the slipping area.
