The Cruising Yacht Club of SA hosts many events throughout the year, ranging from fun social gatherings to family events and fiercely competitive racing events and everything in between! Event dates are subject to change, please contact Reception for up-to-date information.

Club Function Booking / Refund Policy
Due to the cost of catering all bookings will be taken as confirmed 72 hours prior to a function and will be invoiced to members accounts accordingly. There will be NO REFUND for non attendance / bookings cancelled after this period.

Fish Filleting Demo

Learn how to properly fillet a fish…

For members wanting to brush up on their fish filleting skills, the CYCSA Fishing Association have arranged for Jeff Wait (professional net fisherman of more than 40 years & fish filleting teacher) to provide a demonstration session at the CYCSA on Thursday evening, 14th March.

The plan is to have dinner around 6:00pm followed by a filleting demonstration at 7:00pm in the Club’s BBQ area. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions.

The plan is to demonstrate a number of fish species, especially one that many find trickiest… Garfish!

You don’t want to miss this free and informative demonstration. Jeff has filleted thousands of fish during his career, and loves to share his know-how.

If you have been wanting to get your hands on fresh fish but have been intimidated by the thought of filleting, this is your chance to gain the skills and confidence.
