Fishing Trophy Awards

Take part in our popular annual FA Fishing Trophy Awards

Please register your catch by filling in the online registration form (link below) or submitting it via email to Club Reception. 

Several different fish categories are available for entry. Categories are as follows:
Category 1: Largest Game Fish
Category 2: Largest Snapper
Category 3: Largest Whiting
Category 4: Largest Scale Fish

A prestigious engraved stainless steel trophy will be awarded to each winner of the categories and presented at the FA’s final event in November. Winners names will be added to the FA Fishing Trophy board displayed within the Club.

The Awards are to be presented annually.
To be eligible for the Awards FA members need to comply by submitting evidence of their catch within the time frame specified – Beginning 1 January each year and closing 30 November. This is to allow for trophy preparation and presentation at the FA last event and within the calendar year.

Entries close 30 November 2024 Winners will be announced and trophies awarded at the annual All Associations End of Year Bash to be held on Saturday 14 December 2024.

Conditions of entry include:

  • All entries must be from current CYCSA Fishing Association members.
  • Multiple entries are accepted and encouraged.
  • The fish must be caught in the current calendar year.
  • The catch must be registered and providing all information required on submission.

Your submission requires the following:

  • Name & contact details
  • Species of fish and length of fish (in centimeters)
  • Date and location of catch
  • Photo(s) of fish – Photo should show fish against a suitable measuring ruler or tape;
    AND photo(s) showing the person holding the fish is required.

Previous Award Entries

Photo display of entries
The Club website FA section would like to display the entries online during the competition time frame. Members are encouraged to send in photos for the Club to upload. Any information about the catch accompanying the photos would be appreciated and also allow Groundswell editors to consider publishing in the Club magazine.
