Cruising in Company: Stansbury - CYCSA

The Cruising Yacht Club of SA hosts many events throughout the year, ranging from fun social gatherings to family events and fiercely competitive racing events and everything in between! Event dates are subject to change, please contact Reception for up-to-date information.

For Racing events please refer to the Racing Documents page for applicable Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions, or check in with the Race office for up-to-date information including any scheduling changes.

Club Function Booking / Refund Policy
Due to the cost of catering all bookings will be taken as confirmed 72 hours prior to a function and will be invoiced to members accounts accordingly. There will be NO REFUND for non attendance / bookings cancelled after this period.

DESTINATION: STANSBURY
WHEN: January 26, 27, 28 (weather dependent)

After a successful New Year KI trip, I am pleased to announce that our next cruising event (weather dependent) will be the January 2024 long weekend. The RSAYS cruisers will be there too, so it will also be a great opportunity to cross paths.

The general program will be:
  • Friday 26th depart CYCSA (timing to be confirmed, but will be on channel 72)
  • Saturday 27th BYO mid-afternoon drinks with RSAYS foreshore picnic area
  • Saturday 27th Happy hour at the Dalrymple Hotel (book now for a table for dinner if you haven’t already got arrangements)
  • Sunday 28th sail home to CYCSA (timing to be confirmed)

Safety recommendations: A passage plan to Stansbury and return must be carefully considered. Please evaluate your vessel’s capability, seaworthiness and your level of seamanship skills. If in doubt seek advice. Skipper holds responsibility and liability.
