Cockling Day at Goolwa Beach

Please note: This event is subject to confirmation closer to the event date. It will proceed only if conditions at Goolwa Beach are deemed safe and any algal bloom-related restrictions or advisories have been lifted by the relevant government authorities. Should conditions remain unsuitable, participants will be notified of any changes as soon as possible.

The CYCSA Fishing Association invites all Club members, families and friends to join them on the beach at Goolwa for cockle collecting & bait restocking after the closed season. The tides are perfect for cockling on this Sunday & for digging in the flat calm shallows without getting smacked by the waves.

10am Meet in the Goolwa Beach car park. We then head towards the Murray mouth and we won’t be far away – look for the Club flags. If you have a 4×4 and some room, look for other Club members and please offer a lift.

Bring a chair, sun protection and a bucket or soft bag for collecting and an esky to put your catch in.

A sausage sizzle BBQ lunch on the beach will be available for all attending. BBQ Free for FA Members (non FA members $5)

Club Function Booking / Refund Policy
Due to the cost of catering all bookings will be taken as confirmed 72 hours prior to a function and will be invoiced to members accounts accordingly. There will be NO REFUND for non attendance / bookings cancelled after this period.
