THIS SESSION –

Brought to you by the Fishing Association:  THE BIG ISSUE OF SNAPPER FISHING IN SA

Michael Steer, Research director from SARDI Fishing in SA will lead the discussion, including information on the Snapper replenishment scheme.

I am certain you are all very aware of the need for effective fisheries management to ensure the ongoing viability of fish stocks in the future.  I also expect, that like many, you have a great interest in what progress is being made with our prized Snapper fishery in South Australia.

The Fishing Association Committee has organised for a special presentation on this subject, with time for questions.  We have organized for Dr. Mike Steer (Director of Research, SARDI) to come and talk with us on this most important topic. Some of you may know Mike who has had a long-time relationship with the CYCSA, having been a past member.  This is a great opportunity to hear about the research and issues regarding re-building Snapper stocks first hand.

  • The Fishing Association is going to provide a few ‘on the spot’ prizes for participants!
  • Q&A Session  – opportunity to ask the experts any questions you may have. Please join us and come armed with your questions about state of Snapper fishing in our State.
