CYCSA Welcomes Corporate Partners to YSF Fleet
Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia welcomes corporate partners to the Youth Sailing Foundation fleet
The Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia (CYCSA) is delighted to announce their first Youth Sailing Foundation corporate partners: Northrop Grumman – a global leader in integrated logistics, systems and solutions, and Musto – the world’s leading sailing brand.
Both Northrop Grumman and Musto have committed to a three-year major naming-rights sponsorship of the Youth Sailing Foundation, which will allow the Club to purchase two of the six Elliott 7 Keelboats and begin resourcing and launching various sailing programs managed from their North Haven Marina.
Chris Deeble, Northrop Grumman Australia’s Executive Director, Strategy says: “Northrop Grumman Australia is proud to be supporting the South Australian community and future workforce though our partnership with the CYCSA Youth Sailing Foundation. As well as forging a pathway into sailing, the Youth Sailing Foundation helps participants develop critical life skills, which contributes to their own personal development and benefits the broader community. The Setting a new course program offers veterans meaningful opportunities to challenge themselves, learn a new skill and experience the satisfaction and connection that comes with working as a team, we are excited to continue both these associations which we highly value.”
We are also pleased to welcome our first Foundation partner, Orthopaedics SA, with Dr Jason Ward recognising the importance of the program for schools and the wider community.
Adam Hays, General Manager, CYCSA says: “We’re delighted to welcome Musto, Northrop Grumman and Orthopaedics SA as inaugural partners of the Youth Sailing Foundation. To attract supporters of this profile and calibre to the program is a reflection of the high quality of the Foundation and the benefits it will deliver to the sport of sailing, individuals and to the community. We’re looking forward to welcoming a number of additional partners over the coming weeks.”
The Youth Sailing Foundation is a unique opportunity for the South Australian sailing community to introduce the next generation to the sport of sailing, develop their skills, and foster their progression into sailing champions of the future – as well as develop life skills on and off the water.
The CYCSA will also work alongside schools to integrate potential sailing courses into their curriculum, will offer corporate training sessions to businesses and provide vital social activities and programs for South Australian Veterans.
The Foundation program will officially commence in Spring 2021, generously supported by private and industry corporate sponsorships, with further partnership announcements made in the coming weeks.
