Find out how much fun can be had going powerboating! Learn the Theory component from our Yachting Australia Powerboat Instructors to prepare for sitting the Theory test at Transport SA. Appropriate for un-licenced, new and current  boat licence holders to develop a strong understanding of the rules and regulations to be safe and confident boaters. This Intro course includes a one hour private 1:1 practical lesson with one of our Marine Academy Instructors so you can ask specific questions and feel confident driving a powerboat. 

Intro Powerboat offers 3 hour theory, 1 hour private lesson. NO LICENCE REQUIRED! but, this course can be used to gain a SA Boat Licence by sitting a test at Transport SA or a Rec Powerboat Practical with the CYCSA Marine Academy.

 This Yachting Australia Recreational Powerboat Operator Course involves theory and basic practical components and is designed for youth 12 - 16 years of age. On successful completion of the theory test, and a practical assesment on the final day you will be eligible for the SA Boat Licence.

On completion of the Boat Licence Course, those wishing to gain further practical skills and experience can book a further practical session to gain this certificate. This certificate is a pre-requisite for YA Sailing Instructors and recommended for yacht club rescue boat operators.
