Marine Academy - Accreditation

The CYCSA Marine Academy is a Discover Sailing Centre which is accredited to deliver Yachting Australia Learn to Sail and Powerboat Programs, through qualified Yachting Australia Instructors. Our Instructors adhere to Yachting Australia standards that ensure safety and customer satisfaction in order to attain and retain this status.

The Marine Academy is a Yachting Australia and the Royal Yachting Association Shore Based Center.  Yachting Australia formed a partnership in 2007 for the delivery of the RYA Cruising Program in Australia. The RYA-YA Yacht Training Program now provides international recognition of qualifications as well as a national harmonisation of course content and delivery.

The RYA/-YA Training Program and the National Keelboat Program have expanded the provision of courses and provide pathways for small boat sailors to progress seamlessly to offshore yachting, especially if they wish to pursue international sailing and employment opportunities.

Yachting Australia is working in partnership with the RYA because RYA qualifications are recognised and respected around the world and with more than 130 years experience, together we are able to provide a world-class training platform that will be locally administered and operated by Yachting Australia.
