Marine Academy Yacht Cruising Courses - Onboard Academy One
Academy One, our Farr 38 has recently passed another survey inspection and is ready for a number of courses to be conducted in the second half of the season. Our instructors, Brett Yardley and John Edwards would love to have you onboard for a yacht cruising experience.

Cruising Yacht Crew - Weekender
This weekend course is designed to train students to a competent crew level and therefore be capable of crewing on other club boats or your own! Includes safety, navigation, working with sails, helming and parking the yacht. Sailing takes place on the waters off North Haven in the Port River and includes a trip to the Glenelg Marina. Numbers are limited.
Cost: $450/ non-members $475 - Dates as follows:

Three Day Live-Aboard - Port Vincent
A great chance to build on the weekend course or previous experience on similar craft. Spend three days and two nights onboard Academy One and gain the skills required to skipper your own boat. This certificate course can be logged toward a full RYA Day Skipper qualification in the future and includes training in all aspects of navigation plus managing the yacht and crew. One night is usually spent in Port Vincent Marina with a second night on anchor somewhere around the St Vincent Gulf. Living onboard gives students a valuable insight into all aspects of yacht cruising whilst enjoying a social long weekend with the group. Dates have been scheduled around Australia Day and the March LWE.
Cost: $650 /non-members $700
